PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD (August 24, 2025) — A 21-year-old man was killed Saturday evening when his motorcycle collided with a commercial motor vehicle on Interstate 495 in Prince George’s County, according to Maryland State Police.
The fatal crash occurred on August 23, 2025, at approximately 7:32 p.m. on southbound I-495 near the ramp to Saint Barnabas Road. Maryland State Police troopers from the Forestville and College Park barracks responded to reports of the collision involving a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle.
The victim has been identified as Camron Amirion Stroud, 21, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. According to preliminary investigation findings, Stroud was driving a Suzuki motorcycle on southbound I-495 when he collided with a commercial motor vehicle traveling in the same direction.
The commercial vehicle driver remained at the scene following the collision. The extent of any injuries to the commercial vehicle occupants has not been disclosed at this time.
The crash prompted significant traffic disruptions on the Capital Beltway, with road closures lasting more than three hours as investigators worked to reconstruct the accident scene. Personnel from the Maryland State Highway Administration assisted with traffic control and managing the extensive detours.
