CHARLES COUNTY, MD (July 16, 2025) — A driver was killed Tuesday, July 15 when their vehicle became trapped beneath a UPS tractor-trailer at a major intersection in Newburg, Charles County, Maryland, authorities said.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Crain Highway (U.S. Route 301) and Rock Point Road. According to emergency dispatch records, the vehicle ran underneath the trailer of the semi-truck, resulting in heavy entrapment and fatal injuries.
