CARROLL COUNTY, MD — Man Dies in Early Morning Head-On Crash on Route 97

WESTMINSTER, MD (July 26, 2025) — A man died early Saturday morning in a head-on collision on Maryland Route 97 in Carroll County, Maryland, after a pickup truck crossed the center line and struck his van.

The fatal crash occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Maryland Route 97 in the area of Humbert Schoolhouse Road near Westminster. Maryland State Police troopers from the Westminster Barrack responded to the scene following reports of the serious collision.
