Daniel Santos is a newly appointed associate at Regan Zambri Long Personal Injury Lawyers, PLLC, Washington, DC. He joined the firm in September 2024 and brings a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and courtroom experience.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in May 2023, graduating magna cum laude. While there, he served as an Associate Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Forum. He was actively involved in various legal organizations, including the Honor Board, and as a Student Representative for the Maryland State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
Before joining Regan Zambri Long, Daniel completed a prestigious one-year clerkship with the Honorable Rachel T. McGuckian of the Montgomery County Circuit Court from August 2023 to August 2024. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into judicial processes and decision-making.
Daniel’s legal career began during law school through several notable internships. In the summer of 2022, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Joseph M. Getty at the Court of Appeals of Maryland, where he honed his skills in legal research and opinion drafting. The previous summer, he worked as a Summer Law Clerk at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, focusing on cases involving child abuse, neglect, and termination of parental rights.
Before starting his legal career, Daniel gained significant experience in the federal court system as a Case Administrator at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland from 2018 to 2020. This role gave him a strong understanding of court procedures and document processing in civil and criminal cases.
Daniel completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018. During his undergraduate years, he demonstrated leadership and civic engagement through various roles, including co-chairing the Student Undergraduate Teaching and Staff Awards committee and participating in the UNC Student Government Executive Branch Civic Engagement Committee.
With his diverse background in legal research, court administration, and public service, Daniel Santos brings a well-rounded perspective to his role at Regan Zambri Long. Fluent in Spanish, Daniel was born in California and raised in Wilmington, NC. He now calls Virginia home. Daniel is licensed to practice in Maryland.
