Each year, the American Bar Association’s Law Day is held on May 1 to celebrate and recognize the role of law in society. As a reminder to all of us that we the people share the responsibility to promote the rule of law, defend liberty, and pursue justice, this year’s theme is “Advancing the Rule of Law Now.”
The ABA has offered a list of subthemes designed to inspire thinking, discussion, connections, and deeper conversations about the rule of law. For example, one subtheme is “How might the rule of law shape our future?” While it is worth your time to read more about this and other subthemes on the ABA website, this subtheme offers opportunities to consider the specific calls for reform and change in our country and how the rule of law might continue to shape our nation’s future.
