A potential Listeria risk has been linked to CRF Frozen Foods, prompting a new precautionary food recall. Listeria is a serious and potentially fatal infectious disease, especially for young children, frail or elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. Recent cases include suspected links to illnesses and deaths in Washington, California and Maryland.
Following an April 23, 2016 recall of frozen vegetables, CRF Frozen Foods just expanded its recall to include all organic and traditional frozen vegetable and fruit products from its Pasco, Washington plant since May 1, 2014. All of the recalled foods were sold nationwide and in Canada, totaling 358 food products and 42 separate brands. The FDA website includes a complete listing of all the recalled products. CDC recommends avoiding CRF organic or traditional frozen vegetables and fruit products.
Tainted food can cause very serious injuries, even death. I have extensive experience assisting clients who have suffered from food poisoning in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and throughout the country. Other law firms routinely refer food poisoning cases to me.
